Kallangs farewell 1973

This is a farewell shot of the family for 2nd Sister Elizabeth after her engagement to Kallang Akup. Kallang comes from Bario. They went to Long Akah to teach.

 Mum did a lot of "unofficial social work" including accompanying bereaved families of the Pulau Kijang tragedy. The boat that sank and hundreds died.

Mum cuts a beautiful figure, She wore a lot of batek kebayas. Sometimes people asked if she was a MAS air stewardess. Mum said, " I am so old, how to be a stewardess."

We joked, " You should have said, I am the director."
